I chose this quote for a variety of reasons. First of all, all the changes that women are going through and have been going through are leading them closer to males. If you think about it there are now stay at home dads because the women have better jobs and don't want to sacrifice their careers. This is the same as the male study done by Levinson. Levinson says that first you find your career and then you settle down and this is becoming more and more true. Although some women chose to take the girly path and just become an at home mother, it gives no reasons to make a woman her own chart saying how she's going to be an at home mom the rest of her life like she thinks society wants. Society is changing constantly and no body cares, it's a natural thing for changes to occur, if changes weren't occurring then maybe someone would notice. For now, and as far as I can see, I believe that women are constantly taking over more of a male role than of the typical female role. If you follow the female roll your missing out on the best opportunities in life and who wants to give them up. Women have been changing forever and they will never stop changing, so if you are going to compare the stages of adulthood, women are going to follow the constancy of the male developmental stages.
