The main elements of my design that I am pleased with, is the way my colours stand out so well on the black background and also the way the two rides at the front of my design incorporate the fact that this is a logo for a theme park. Although people may not realise what the logo says immediately, the logo is still easily recognisable at first sight. .
I feel that this meets the requirements for a theme park logo as it clearly states the name, has a bright and attractive layout and it also shows that it is a theme park.
If I were to design this particular logo again I would try to use a mirrored image that is a little less confusing as to what the words actually say; so that people from a distance can read the logo in a matter of seconds. I would also use a different colour for the "n" in the middle, as I feel that it does not cooperate with the rest of the colours.
During the time I spent working on this logo I learnt how to use a gradient of colour in one space on Adobe PhotoShop. My confidence also increased when scanning images into the computer and loading them up onto the appropriate piece of software.
When I was designing and increasing the quality of my work on the computer I had numerous difficulties. As I came to the school in the beginning of year 10 I had never used this software before and it took me a while to get used to it. Once I had, I still struggled to input my work in the correct colour package. .
As soon as I had designed my final logo I was really impressed with it, but in comparison to the rest of my work now, I feel that I could have improved the design greatly. I am pleased with the way the logo came out and I think at the time that I did it, it was to the best of my ability; but I think that if I were to do it again it would be much better. I also feel that I could have improved on the fluency of my initial designs leading up to my final design.
