Visual Movie Review

They are also dressed in very blah colors, and very simple clothing. This shows the audience that they are really not that important, and they also seem too unreal to be true. Like with the world that they live in. .
While in the Muggle world, they use some weird camera angles. One example is when Harry was getting the mail the first day that his letter arrived. They should him from underneath, instead of a strait shot from down the hall. Also during this shot, the music that is associated with the movie started playing in the background. With both of these signals, we know that something very important is going to happen. Until this point, the only other time that we heard the magical music was at the very beginning when Dombledore was coming out of the dark night and started sucking the lights down his lighter thing. This music is used through out the movie to signify big events that are coming, especially dealing with magic. The letter scene helps prepare the viewers for what is going to happen in the near future to Harry.
Now lets look at the Magical world. They use bright rich colors instead of plain dull colors. It appears like they are almost royalty with all the tapestries, paintings, and old furniture. Then when they eat, they have this abundance of food. The ceilings are high with flying buttresses, and they are in a castle. Now we all know that this world does not exist, but on the screen it seems so real, like maybe it does really exist only we are muggles and we don't know about it. .
The lighting in this world has a much warmer feeling to it. Certain times everything seems to sparkle and glitter. There are some scenes that there is a red light low in the background, but like so many other movies, this read light makes you feel warm inside rather than anger or worry, like something bad is going to happen. .
You can also tell that they use a blue light a lot in this movie.
