Jane's brother, Trent, is twenty-two years old; a singer in a band called Mystic Spiral, and a slacker extrodinaire. He enjoys sleeping, practicing with "The Spiral" in his basement, writing songs with no intended deeper meaning, ranting about how superior vinyl is, and gazing forlornly at his empty refrigerator. Trent Lane is Daria's secret love for the first four seasons.
