War On Iraq

About 7 years ago there were also inspectors sent into Iraq. Their inspections were also unsuccessful but the Iraqis did not comply with the policy and violated many of the resolutions made by the U.N. They refused entrance into many buildings and delayed inspectors many times for hours and even days. Republicans definitely think that is a sign that they are hiding something and agree with President Bush in sending in troops to deal with the situation and get Saddam Hussein out of power. The Democratic party however, feel that since their has been no weapons found that can directly link Iraq with illegal activity, that we should just leave it be. They go on to say that since there has already be a previous raid made in Iraq which turned up nothing, that the U.S. should not waste the time and effort by going in there again.
Saddam Hussein has said that Iraq would comply with the U.N.'s policies and destroy all weapons of mass destruction. Like most Americans in general, Republicans do not agree with war or think that it is a good way to settle a dispute but in this case they do think it is the best decision because, Hussein has not responded to anything but military force. Millions of innocent people are unwillingly under his evil commands and if military force is the only way for Suddam Hussein to respond, then that is what must be done. War has been presented as a last resort for those who support Bush. Republicans believe that Bush has done a lot to ease the situation and has made much progress in the middle-east more then anyone else has in the past 13 years. The United States has always been on top and the Republican party goes on to support Bush throughout his many decisions, including those pertaining to the war in Iraqi. .
It has been recorded in many articles and polls how the progress in Iraq has been. The progress in Iraq was stated as this: "200 raids, 1,100 detainees, 8,200 tons of ammunition and thousands of weapons seized, 42 of the most wanted Iraqi leaders captured or killed, 38,000 Iraqis hired as police officers and 31 countries contributing troops to the efforts in Iraq.
