A wrinkle in time

"Despite their clothing, John, Elizabeth and Abigail are Thoroughly modern people". I think that they are very similar to people now days. They face a lot of the same situations. In the Puritan age, they were faced with a lot of mischievous behaviors. Only in their time if you did something wrong you had to hide it. For instance lechery was a crime punishable by death. In our time it isn't even a crime.
During the Puritan age there were a whole lot of bad acts happening, just as there is now. There where things like teens having sex, stealing, selfishness, runaways. Even teenagers trying to do spells with the devil. The average Puritan committed more sins than I have. As well as the average person now days.
I think that people are people and they will always be the same. I feel that the vicinity has changed more than the person. I think that people will always show greed and selfishness no matter what time or age it is. Through out history there has always been greedy people, with bad attitudes. Most of which were murderers too.
I say, people are people and that is what they"ll act like. No matter how much the world changes, people shall remain the same. Even though it is not right there is always going to be fights, wars, stealing and the list goes on and on. With the exception of few, people are sinners, bottom line.
What the Puritans tried to do, was establish a Theocracy. A Theocracy is a form of government ran by religion. The Puritans took it a step further and made it against the law to sin or participate in any form of gratification. Since "people are sinners" they ended up hanging half the town and then banning Theocracy as a form of government.
Today I talked to you about people and how they will always be the same. I hope I have taught you a thing or two about the human race. I feel that "despite their clothing, John, Elizabeth and Abigail are thoroughly modern people", considering people haven't changed much.
