The two Ed's partnership in the chair company they called La-Z-Boy began in the early 1900's and has carried on into the 19th century with the same quality chairs as the day it began (Making). .
             With the first chair La-Z-Boy began a line of novelty furniture that led to such chairs as their Reclina- Rocker and made La-Z-Boy known for American domestic comfort. La-Z-Boy created a new line of family furniture including Reclina-Rockers, swivel rockers, sleep sofas, sofas, and flexible modular seating (Genuine). These chairs have played a major part in the company's success because of the new additions to comfort and reclining abilities. Specific to La-Z-Boy products, all chairs or furniture feature a lifetime warranty on all structural or mechanical components (Making). This makes customers La-Z-Boy's craftsmanship and durability of their products trusted by all who purchase them. In 1961 La-Z-Boy introduced the Reclina-Rocker that allowed "lazy boys" to rock in a cushioned comfort and to use the chairs handle on the flank to support one's tired legs while reclining into a nearly horizontal position, making it easy to take naps or just kick back and relax (La-Z-Boy).
