Also, through kindergarten and first grade my skills improved. Meanwhile, when I entered second grade, my dad read to me less frequently since I had established the habit of reading myself before I went to bed. By the end of second grade, although I read well, my voluntary reading habits declined to almost nothing. There were many things my teachers could have done to help me improve my reading at school because my parents" job was not to teach me the skills of reading. My parents" interest and support was less when my parents began to work in their own business. My parents did not have enough time to see how I was doing in my courses or notice the poor education that I was receiving.
By the time I was in elementary school, my parents worked hard to expand their construction business; therefore, they could pay the expenses of a private school. My parents registered me in private school for girls. Males could only enter the institution when there was a public event. The teachers were extremely strict; however, they determine that students should learn. As David Daniels says that there were " smaller classes in which students are required to involve themselves in discussion put an end to students" passivity". In the meantime, I still remembered, when my dad drove me to school on the first day and wishing me good luck. Then I went to the classroom to meet my new friends. The girls were different than my old friends; in other words, they were not very sociable, and they were too serious to be twelve years old. I was not prepared for this kind of education because it was too much pressure. We had quizzes everyday, and we were not allowed to miss any classes. .
I could not recover all the time that I lost without learning the basics language things to success on high school. I had serious grammatical problems in my Spanish compositions, which affected the time that I spent writing essays and poems.
