It can be fought for in the work place, at home, or even in school. It can try to be reached with in a society, race, or religion. .
The world has fought over the topic of equality for hundreds of years, but it wasn't until recently that people have actually started making progress within the field. The black race has worked especially hard to achieve equality within the white society. They have come a long way, but still are not done with the battle. The black race used to be looked down upon. They were treated poorly by white people, and were always told that they would never reach the same level in society as the white race. They never used to be allowed in the same public places as white people, they couldn't drink out of the same water fountain, they were not allowed to go to school with white children. Then, they made their opinion known. Now they are allowed to do everything that the white race can do, go anywhere they want to go, and attend school where they would like. The black race is a perfect example of a fight for equality.
Everyone wants to be treated with the same respect, dignity, and responsibility as anyone else. It has been a long hard battle for anyone that wants to achieve it. Equality has come a long way throughout the years, but it still has a long way to go. .
