Morpheus says that he would like to meet and tells Neo to go to the Adams St. Bridge. Trinity, as well as some others, pick up Neo in a black Ford and as soon as they are on the road, they tell him to lie back and lift up his shirt. Neo, not wanting any of this, nearly gets out and walks back, but Trinity persuades him to stay. Their excuse is "We think you've been bugged." .
Soon after some shocks and a bit more driving, Neo is walking up the stairs to meet Morpheus. Morpheus talks to Neo about The Matrix and asks him whether he would like to wake up in his bed at home or to "see how far down the rabbit hole goes." Neo takes the red pill and is brought into a room where he is unplugged from The Matrix and is told the truth: He is living in a computer simulated dream world while he is being used as a battery for the machines in the real world. .
Morpheus and his crew live on a hovercraft called the Nebuchadnezzar that flies through the sewers of cities that used to span thousands of miles. After some training and some time, Neo is brought to the Oracle. To plug themselves back into The Matrix to see the Oracle, they needed to rise up to broadcasting depth, and broadcast a pirate signal (to hack into The Matrix). The Oracle tells Neo that he is not the one and also that he will have to make a choice between his life and Morpheus". Somehow, this prediction comes true as Cypher betrays them all, killing three crewmembers in the process: Apok, Switch, and Dozer. Tank, finally, kills Cypher before he kills Neo and gets Trinity and Neo back. .
However, Morpheus was captured and Neo feels that he can save Morpheus. So he and Trinity hack back in, kill a lot of security guards, steal a helicopter, and rescue Morpheus before he gives out the access codes to Zion, the last human city. Trinity and Morpheus get back but before Neo can pick up the phone, an agent arrives. This time Neo doesn't run, engaging a huge battle where Neo truly begins to believe that he is "The One.
