Albert Einstein


            Albert Einstein was born on March 14 1879 in Ulm, which is located in Wurttemberg, Germany and died on April 18, 1955 in Princeton, New Jersey, USA. Einstein began his school career in Munich around 1886. He took violin lessons from the age of six to thirteen and also had religious education at home where he was taught Judaism. Albert Einstein led a more or less normal childhood and it was not until later in his life that he developed his true genius. .
             In 1894 Einstein's family moved to Milan but Einstein remained in Munich where he failed an examination that would have let him study for a diploma as an electrical engineer in Zurich. After failing this exam he attended secondary school at Arau where he graduated as a teacher of mathematics and physics. Einstein became a teacher of mathematics at the technical high school in Winterthur. He was later appointed a third class technical expert in the patent office, in Bern. During this time he produced a large about of theoretical physics publications, even though he did not have contact with scientific literature or colleagues. .
             He earned a doctoral degree from the University of Zurich in 1905, where he first introduced the theory of relativity. He also received a Nobel Prize. Due to the escalating political situation in Germany, and Einstein's religious beliefs he decided that it would be best to move to the United States when Princeton University offered him a teaching opportunity. He made some of his most famous contributions to the scientific community while he was teaching there. .
             Albert Einstein became famous for his work on the Manhattan project and his many proposed theories such as the theory of relativity and the photoelectric effect. His most famous work out of all of these was his work on the Manhattan project. This was in fact the creation of the atom bomb which was used to put an end to World War 2 and saved many lives that would have been lost in the war.
