In all, over 7,000 documented and investigated sightings of a boomerang-shaped craft or crafts moving silently through the sky over New York and Connecticut between 1982 and 1995. An interesting aspect of all of these reports is the fact that everyone interviewed describes the phenomenon in similar detail. Mass sightings, such as these tend to make the average skeptic a little less skeptical. Below is a photograph taken of the famed "Hudson Valley Boomerang". Among some of the better-documented cases that have occurred in the last decade is the rash of UFO sightings that took place over Belgium. Some very interesting factors make this case history extremely rare, with regards to how these cases usually run. In the years 1989-90, just after the Russian UFO wave, Belgium became very well known throughout the world for its series of triangle shaped UFOs, beginning in the Dutch area of Eupen and eventually the entire country. On 29 November 1989 in Eupen, Belgium, two police officers witnessed what seemed to be a dark, triangular shaped object with three powerful searchlights on its underside, illuminating the ground below. The object also had a central red light that changed from red to orange. .

The object was approximately 700 feet off to one side of the road, and 1000 feet above a field. The object changed direction and flew directly over their heads, silently except for a soft humming. The craft stopped and hovered motionlessly over the Gileppe Dam for approximately 45 minutes. Finally, it sped off to the north and disappeared. On 30 March 1990, in Wavre, Belgium there were several of reports describing what seemed to be a UFO. Local police reported the sightings to the RADAR station in Glons; they confirmed the sightings on RADAR at an altitude of 10,000 feet.
