The base of Catholic education teaches us the importance of family. We learn, through Catholic education, that no matter how hard it gets, how much you want to quit, how tired and beaten up you are emotionally and physically, you can always count on family. This includes not only blood relatives but friends, because your friends are your family. We learn to value something we take advantage of every day of our lives. Catholic education teaches us that people out there really do care. We learn that we are never alone.
The Catholic system is and has always been built around respect. Respect is a key value in all Catholic education. We are a respectful religion, and we discover that everyone deserves respect. It might as well be the eleventh commandment, "Thou shall respect others." Catholic education doesn't only teach us to respect each other but to also respect yourself. Respecting yourself is very important and through Catholic education we learn to value it.

Catholic education also teaches us how important being accepting is. Respecting each other is one issue but to accept is totally different. Catholic education teaches to accept everyone for who the are. It all comes down to one point: We are all God's children. Accepting people for their beliefs, colour, and way of life, is what God would want. Plus, we would want to be accepted just as everyone else would want. The world is big enough for everyone. Not many people understand that but with the help of Catholic education, we have that pointed out very clearly. .
