"We don't receive wisdom; we must discover it for ourselves after a journey that no one can take us or spare us." This was written by Marcel Proust. This quote explains that no matter how much some one can teach you there are still things that must be learn on your own, and that is "wisdom". Which leads to something in my life that I had to learn on my own. From seeing how football is played, to the wisdom and knowledge I have received from my 13 years of school.
The big football player in school. Time sure does fly by very fast. I can remember when I was still in kindergarten ; drinking orange juice and gram crackers, playing at recess, nap time, bringing my hot wheel cars in for show and tell, playing hide and go seek, isn't that funny. Then I realized the moment I've been waiting for has arrived. All the pain, struggling, and time I've wasted away in school years is about to pay off. It was the beginning of my senior year in high school, oh and yes the beginning of senioritis. Life was taking on a whole new path. One more year to go and I"ll be out of here. Your senior year so much is going on, and you know that it is time to be a man. Because you realize that your at the top of the hill you are a senior, ready to go out into the real world. With this new feeling of life I told my self that "I was going to do every senior activity", and anything else I could do to make it the best year of school I would ever have. My senior year started out good due to football. Our football team had reputation for being the under dogs, we would make the playoffs or the season would be a complete failure. Following in the footsteps of previous years, we worked hard because we knew we were in a new conference with schools which were a lot larger than our own. But after day in and day out of practicing in hot summer weather all the way to cold shivering weather. Running and tackling on the muddy ground, watching hits after hits.
