In this text Franz Kafka presents how an ordinary salesman wakes up in one morning and realizes that he has been transformed into a big roach. With this Kafka wants to underline how a man's life can change radically in one night. Gregor Samsa has been, until that night a respected salesman with a good salary a good social status. But after that night he has been reduced to a garbage eating being.
Castle.
In this text Kafka presents the way people usually work how a man can work without knowing for whom he works. The action is placed near a castle where everybody works for the "boss"| who lives in the castle, but nobody knows who he is.
One day a man, mister K, comes and starts to work there. But he wants to know whom he is working for. Now problems start for mister K. Everybody gets in his way and is ultimately killed before he even got in the castle. This text shows how people die for what they believe in.
Trial.
In this text Kafka presents the way people react when they are put in impossible situations. Josef K awakes one day arrested. He does not know why. But he can go on with his normal life, if he goes to court every Sunday. He tries to get help from different people (a lawyer, a painter, and his uncle) but he is never told the reason of all that is happening to him. He wants to represent himself in a trial that never takes place because he is killed "like a dog", these being his final words. He is killed because he does not admit a fact that he is not aware of, a murder. .
