Technology and new inventions come often. Many have helped save lives, and have changed the way we live. There are also some bad inventions, or inventions that have not helped much, or have helped but in a bad way. An example of an invention would have to be the gun. It has helped protect lives, changed the way we lived, and also has helped in a bad way by killing people.
I believe guns are beneficial to the society because they help us protect ourselves from those who wish to harm us. They allow us to keep our families safe, they help out with hunting, and allow our police force get rid of crime. If guns weren't around, bad guys could attack families, and the victims would have no way to fight back or defend themselves. Not only that, but it would also take forever to go hunting, and would make it harder for police to stop crime.
A bad invention that has not been beneficial to society is the bullet. It has not helped in any way, it has only killed people. Bullets bring death to people, send people to jail, and only cause chaos. They bring hate and revenge into people's lives, and make life hard on people. If bullets weren't around, not as many people would die each day and there would be less stress in our lives, not having to worry about getting killed by bullets some day.
The invention that I believe would help society but has not been created would have to be the, Air-Pressurized Heat-Seeking Stun Gun (APHSSG). The Blast would be Air pressurized, so when it shoots it scares the living daylights out of the target. Then the heat-seeking would lock onto the target so they can't escape, and the stun blast would stun the target, not kill. It would allow people to defend themselves, and police to catch criminals, without having to kill the people. All they would do is shot the APHSSG, and then go catch the stunned target.
Overall, I believe guns in general were a good idea in theory, but bullets on the other hand were a bad idea because they kill people.
