Abortion

Also, pro-life activists believe that a fetus is as much a living human being as an infant, and that the death of a fetus resembles the death of a human being. .
In order to understand these views it can be divided into three categories, which are based on the reasons why woman have abortions. These categories are based on birth defects, rape, and economics (financial condition of a family). On the issue of birth defects pro-choice activists believe that since deformities and Down's syndrome can be detected during the early stage of a pregnancy a child should not be born to live a life of suffering. However, pro-life activists argue that if there is an indication of a deformity of disease it does not guarantee that the child will be born into a life of suffering. Also through love and support anyone with any form of deformity or disease can live a normal life. On the issue of rape pro-life activists have different views because while many believe that having the child can help the mother get through the horrible experience by providing love to each other; others believe that since the a woman was impregnated without her consent the child can be aborted. Pro-choice activists justify abortion due to rape by the belief that if the child was born it would be an image of the pain the mother has suffered. Regarding the issue of economics, teen pregnancy is also included under this category; abortion is used as a form of birth control because they are not financial stable. Pro-choice activists believe if a family is in financial trouble the child will be born into a life of poverty, suffering and inadequate living conditions; not only would the child suffer but the family as well. However, pro-life activist believe that just because a child will be raised in a family that has financial trouble doesn't mean that the child will be suffering or depressed; the child can live a normal life.
