Constant star was a well prepared play that demonstrated many proper and .
The cast, which consisted of 8 women, (I think) were great. The scenery was very accurate to the times and went along with every act. The sound and the acting of the play was clear and very understanding and the overall production of the play was up to par. .
The scenes in this play were very interesting. It resembled the old times and how it was back then. It always changed, but not always in a big way. They would take out a table or a chair or move it around it was considered another scene. As each scene began, there were always different women on stage doing different task. The very first scene of the play was very interesting when they just had the women doing work on different task for about 5 min. One lady was on an old fashioned typewriter, another lady was sewing clothing, another lady was putting away papers, and another lady was writing papers. Chairs and tables were almost in every scene common. In some scenes, the chairs represented a train, while in others, the chair was used as horses or vehicles. The lighting of each scene was very well lit. It made it able to see the faces as well as the props on the stage.
The sound of the play was pretty unique in a sort of way. For starters, the women on stage did an excellent job on the projection of their voices. They spoke loudly, and clearly for the audience to understand and to react. Singing is a part of theater to me that gets very boring if not done in an entertaining type manner. These ladies can really sing! Their voices were heard through out the theatre. It was very clear and crisp and I was able to pick up on every word sang. Overall, the sound of the play was pretty basic, just that it was performed with skill. The singing took the cake and I strongly believe that singing in a play can't be done by everbody. .
Acting is perhaps the most important part of theatre.
