A Good Place to Live

Where to live is a thought that passes through young people's minds frequently as they are growing up. Some people enjoy the big city life while others appreciate the solitude of country living. I am in between these two areas. I enjoy cities but I also like to walk out of my house and not have to walk directly into the street. A definition for a good place to live would include attributes like a house that is not too large or too small, neighbors that are friendly but distant, and a yard big enough to play football with my kids.
Some people believe that the bigger the house the happier they are. This is not true in my case. I would not enjoy living in a big house. The larger the house the more one would have to clean. At least that is how my mom looks at it. She hates our house because of the amount of time it takes her to clean it. A good size house would include four bedrooms, two baths, one master bath, a den, medium size kitchen, a computer room, and a two-car garage.
Privacy is also important to me. I would not mind having neighbors just as long as they are too close. I would hate to live suburb area where houses are fifteen to twenty feet apart, but I also would not want to live somewhere where it would take twenty minutes to get to the next human being. A good location would be about 200 to 300 feet away from other houses.
There is no sense in having four bedrooms with no one to sleep in them, so a good family would be required. A successful wife and two kids would suit me just fine. A dog and a cat would be nice for the kids. A good career that supplied an adequate amount of income instead of too much or too little would make us comfortable instead of rich or poor.
A good place to live includes more than just the location of one's house but it is what is inside and what is around the surrounding area. A large house and a large bank account is not required to be happy just like a small house and a poor income is not required to be sad.
