Milgram vs. Baumrind

             Milgram published the results of his experiment and recorded them in an article titled "The Perils of Obedience." He fully believed that his findings were relevant and could have been applied to society in general. Some questioned his findings from his first experiment. He disproved this theory by conducting a second experiment. His results were still the same. Milgram even used different variations to prove his experiment. According to Milgram humans have the dual capacity to function as individuals, which is to exercise his or her own moral judgment and to make choice on their own personal character. Milgram tried to justify the actions of German SS officers. There are times when peopled are ordered to do something even when they don't want to.
             Not everyone was ok with Milgram findings. Baumrind had her own personal views of what was wrong with Milgram's experiments or how they could have been improved. She did not think that Milgram's findings were valid because his experimental procedures did not reflect real life.
