First, Government stuigent control of the Nigerian Railway Corporation hinders the progress and develpoment of the corporation. It is believed that consumers of any service need satisfaction and not necessaily the service, That is why consumers do not patronize any service that does not possess satisfaction from the above , It would be seen that more than half of the total population profiled did not consent to the stuingent control of the government on the corporation. It could be assumed that the stingent control has been the source of inpediment in the progress and development of the corporation.
Based on the above findings and analysis, the hypothesis put forward is therefore valitated.
Secondly, improverment patronage, it could be believed that eeficient service will sow concumers action towards a particular product or services does not necessaily matter to them of what it will do for them.
Therefore, it is revealed that half of the respondents indicated that they experience discomfort from the use of railway service in the train.
6.0 CHAPTER SIX.
SUMMARY.
This poor catering service have caused the railway to loose passengers and this situation has adversely affected the revenue position of the corporation. When Catering Facilities of the corporation is improved, it will go a long way to attract patronage of consumers of rail services and hence improve revenue base of the corporation. The foregoing calls for the validity of the hypothesis with effective information and communication facilities will help to stimulate customers interest in the use of railway services and thereby increasing patronage.
The statement :Nothing is achieved untill something is sold" expresses succintly the place of communication in the buisness scene. Against this background, it came to hight that half of the respondents know about the movement of train from their co-users. This higlights the negligence of promotional motivities by the corporation.
