Legalisation of euthanasia - right or wrong

Legalisation of euthanasia - right or wrong.
The word euthanasia is originally a Greek word meaning roughly good death. Essentially, that is what this is all about, being able to decide for yourself when and how to die (emphasis on when). Does it, with their consent, imply the deliberate killing of dependent human beings in hospitals and nursing homes? Yes, it does, but we do not have a moral obligation to live, do we? No one can tell me what to do with my life, and if I were able to choose between dying serenely instead of waiting for the grim reaper and dying of asphyxiation, that should be nobody's business but mine. In my opinion that is enough to justify legislation in Sweden.
Did you know that there are only three locations in the world where euthanasia and assisted suicide are legal? No? It came as a surprise to me too, actually. The three places are: the state of Oregon in the US, the Netherlands and Belgium. Thousands of people every year seek help in these three countries.
Let me enlighten you with a couple of expressions with reference to euthanasia:.
Voluntary euthanasia: When the person who is killed has requested to be killed. Non-voluntary: When the person who is killed made no request and gave no permission. In the last couple of years we have seen a number of doctors and nurses revealed in the newspapers, playing vigilantes on nursing homes where they over a number of years have killed several patients. Every sensible person should be opposed to this kind of "help". It should undoubtedly be requested before it is carried out. Euthanasia by action: Intentionally causing a person's death by performing an action such as by giving a lethal injection. .
Euthanasia by omission: Deliberately causing death by not providing necessary and everyday care or food and water. Assisted suicide: Someone provides an individual with the information, guidance, and means to take his or her own life.
