Adolf Hitler and the Nazi PArty

People were willing to try new ways of dealing with political and social problems as the peoples faith in liberal democracy began to fade away. In Germany, however, "liberalism was historically weak" (Stackelberg, p.64). The Weimar Republic could not deal with the social and political problems that the Great Depression heightened. .
Many attempts to destroy the Weimar Republic were present. There were many right wing organizations that were pushing hard to get rid of the Republic. At this present time Adolf Hitler was just one man of many that supported these types of organizations.
A former soldier that served in the war, Adolf Hitler was one among many that were embarrassed by the ending of World War One. Imbedded in Hitler's head at a young age, his anti-semitism views made the disappointment of defeat that much harsher. It proved to be that much more of a disappointment to Hitler because he was convinced that the Jews had started the war. Hitler had this hatred for the Jewish society ever since his mother died of cancer that her Jewish doctor could not cure.
Adolf Hitler left the army and joined the German Workers" Party (DAP) as the fifty-fifth member and soon became its leader. The DAP was a small relatively new political party that was founded after World War One to magnetize the middle classes to a Nationalist cause. The DAP held many anti-socialist views as well as anti communist views. In February 1920 he renamed the party to the National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP). Hitler's ideas were an attempt to move people away from the left. .
Leadership, army training, his push for power, valuable speaking skills, and his appeal to nationalism all helped form his powerful figure and attract followers. His leading partner was General Erich Ludendorff. In 1923 at a beer hall in Munich there was an uprising pointed at the Republic. Adolf Hitler was the leader of the uprising with the support of Ludendorff.
