As I walked through the front glass door I was greeted by a kind, professionally dressed, older lady. Standing in at approximately 5"4 with short blonde, blue eyes and a pair of reading on. Donna, one of the many instructors at Tucson College, seemed to be a sweet little lady and an easy teacher that everyone would get along with. As we walked through the long hallway, making our way to Donna's classroom, I noticed many things that were different from Pima Community College. I noticed that all the students were wearing scrubs and the smell of the whole building, smelt just like a hospital. Everything else was also spotless and sanitized. .
We finally arrived to her classroom and as she opened the door I was shocked to see that she had a class in session. She then said to me, "They"ll be heading out soon, they"re just finishing up on their test." As I made my way around the room to an empty chair I observed many things in Donna's classroom, such as; there are many skeletal pictures up in her room and like all the other classrooms there are only enough seats for about 10 students. I then sat and waited until everyone left, Donna then apologized for the inconvenience and asked me if I was ready to begin the interview. Donna then told me that she only had about twenty minutes to answer all my questions, So I knew I would have to hurry and ask as many questions as I could. Initially I felt nervous because I didn't know where to begin, Donna noticed my worry and made me feel at ease when she responded to me by telling me to start from start from wherever. After that I knew that this interview would be easy because she was understanding.
I began the interview by thanking her for accepting to do this interview. The first question I asked her was, what got her into teaching, she replied, "I felt like trying something new, I have been working for insurance companies for the last 10 years and I wanted to change my career.
