Islam is a proper name for a religion that started with its prophet Muhammad. Their religion consists of more than going to what some people call church, but strict rules from being kind to others, following the right way for their religious practices, and obeying the Qur"an laws and just being a right muslin.
Islam is one of the most growing religions throughout the whole entire world. Its founder of the Islam was Muhammad. When Muhammad was 40 years of age, God began to speak to him through and angel named Gabriel. God wanted Muhammad to spread his word to all of the people of Arabia, which he wanted all of Arabs to submit to Gods will. Moreover, the term Islam means submission to God. Muhammad also had some basic beliefs that were essential for his new religion which were, that God will judge all men on the last day assign them there place in either heaven or hell, that men should thank God for making the world as it is, that God expects men to be generous with their wealth, and that Muhammad was a prophet sent by God to teach men and warn them of their last judgment. The people who worship Islam are called Muslims it also can be spelled Moslem. They have five obligations that they must follow for their religion.
1. The profession of faith-there is no God but Allah and Muhammad was the last prophet.
2. Prayer has to be uttered five times daily just before dawn, at midnight, midafternoon, just after sunset, and at night.
3. The giving alms or charity which means that they have to give portion of their money to the needy.
4. Fasting.
5. A pilgrimage to Mecca .
All of these are laws of Islam that are recorded within the Qur"an that all of the Muslims should follower in order to be faithful to their religion .
Islam is also a total system of living and their laws have the same importance as are laws, for example they have to obey their Qur"an like we have to obey are laws. Their legal system followers all around their Qur"an a sacred book like the bible that emphasizes every phrase of the Islamic laws, religious practices, culture, and morals.
