The Effectsof Slavery on Africa and the America's

            HISTORY HAS SHOWN US THAT SLAVERY WAS VERY BAD. BLACKS WERE CAPTURED AND SOLD FROM WHAT IS KNOWN AS THE GOLD COAST 9OF AFRICA. SO MANY MEN AND WOMEN DID NOT SURVIVE THE "MIDDLE PASSAGE" AND THOSE WHO DID SURVIVE LIVED FOR MONTHS AMONG THE MOST HORRIBLE CONDITIONS. WOMEN WERE RAPED AND DEGRADED BY THE SHIP'S CREW. ALL OF THESE HUMANS SUFFERED GREATLY. FIRST OF ALL THEY WERE TAKEN FROM THE FAMILIES, HOME. AND LIFESTYLE THEY HAD ALWAYS KNOWN AND WOULD NEVER EVEN SEE AGAIN.
             ARRIVING IN THE AMERICAS, THEY WERE TREATED AS ANIMALS. SLAVERY IN ITSELF WAS VERY DEGRADING BUT THE IMPACT IT HAD ON BOTH CONTINENTS WAS DEVISTATING.THE SLAVE HUNTERS KNEW WHAT TYPE OF SLAVE THEY WANTED AND CAPTURED THE BEST AFRICA HAD TO OFFER; THE STRONGEST, THE YOUTHFUL, AND THE MOST ABLE MEN AND WOMEN. IF THE BEST WERE TAKEN AWAY, WHAT DID IT LEAVE TO KEEP THE CONTINENT PROSPERING? WHAT IF THESE MEN AND WOMEN HAD REMAINED IN AFRICA? WOULD THERE BE DOCTORS TO TREAT THE MANY DISEASES THERE? WOULD THERE BE SO MUCH POVERTY THERE? A NATION'S STRENGTH LIES IN THE HANDS OF THOSE WHO ARE ABLE TO CARRY ON. .
             THE SLAVES WHO WERE SOLD IN AMERICA WERE STRIPPED OF THIER DIGNITY AND THEIR AFRICAN CUSTOMS AND TRADITIONS. ONE OF THOSE SLAVES MAY HAVE CARRIED THE KNOWLEDGE OF A CURE FOR CANCER OR AIDS. TRUE HISTORY HAS SHOWN US THAT AFRICANS WERE SOME OF THE MOST BRILLIANT PEOPLE ON EARTH. THIS FACT IS SUPPORTED BY THE GREAT PYRAMIDS AND OTHER ARCITECTURE WONDERS DISCOVERED THERE; THE GREAT CIVILIZATIONS THAT EXISTED THERE, AND OTHERS THINGS. WHAT IF THESE UNFORTUNATE HUMANS WERE ALLOWED TO LIVE AS THEY HAD IN AFRICA? .
             SLAVERY HAS CAUSED A LOT OF WHAT IFS IN OUR WORLD AND ITS AFFECTS HAVE IMPACTED ON THE WORLD IN SO MANY WAYS.
