Genders

Gender stereotyping is well known in our society today. Men and women are perceived to be very different from one another. You can see the differences between each others by just turning on the TV or by listing to the radio. Men and women are almost the complete opposite. Not just in sex but in how we live our lives. This is my opinion on the differences between men and women.
The common stereotypes in men. Men are known to be aggressive. We like to play sports, wrestle around with each other, or anything that involves using are muscles. Another common stereotype is that we show no emotions at all. Men never like to get upset. Usually we show angry, but hardly ever do we show any sadness. Men are also viewed to be the "money makers." General we are the one who have to go out and work. To support the family. There are a bunch of other little things that are stereotypes linked to how we are supposed to act. Such as being messy, talking loud, getting dirty, ect.
The most common stereotypes in women are the exact opposite in men. Women in most men eyes, are supposed to be a "house wife." We think they are supposed to stay home and do all the house work. They should keep everything clean and watch the kids. While the men are off at work. Another things very different from men is that women are very emotional. Women also cry when something goes wrong or anything that is sad. Women are also very clean and neat. You never really see any dirty women. A lot of people think women are very clumsy or ditzee. To make them more attractive to men.
On TV today there are a lot of shows that show the different stereotypes in men and women. One that comes to my mind first is the "Man Show." It is about a bunch of men who drink beer, and basically think about hot women. They often crack jokes on them. They do a lot of manly stuff on this show. Like watch sports, play sports, build things and drink. This show is basically only for men to watch.
