Motivating Employees

Supervision comes in many shapes, sizes, and colors. There are, also, different types of supervisors. In the corporate ladder of any big business, you will find a main manager, who will most likely be the President or CEO. Following him, you will fine the Board of Executives, and below them, the managers and supervisors of a particular branch or department. Most managers get where they are today because they did the job they were given. They did the job using the essential tools of hard work, perseverance, and determination. However, they would not be managers today if they did not have managers to motivate them and help them to succeed in becoming what they wanted their future occupation to become. Employee motivation is what makes the difference between a successful, working organization, and a failure of what would have been called a company.
In the wide world of business, two things are necessary: managers and employees. Without employees, nothing would be done in the company, and without managers, no one would know what or what no to do. Managers may be one singular person, a few people, or it may be a team, depending on the company and the departments. The managers of a company exist solely to tell the other employees that to do. The employees are there to do the job that needs to be done, whether it be answering telephone calls, greeting customers, or waiting tables. However, if the employees are not motivated by the managers, then they will most likely be rude to the customers or not know what job they are supposed to be doing, which will result in a decline in that company's business and income. Employee motivation is what differentiates a good business from a failing business. .
All employees in a business, whether it be a small family owned restaurant or a world wide fast food chain, need some form of motivation. According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, motivation is an incentive drive.
