Some of the homes in my development have installed the solar panels and say that it was a great investment so the idea of getting a system is not far off; 4) I will increase the amount of times I car pool, ride a bike or take a run which will cut back on gas fumes given off by my car because this gives off nitrous oxide which is toxic to the lungs and contributes to the increase in ozone, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide. I tend to car pool but not quite enough, in Maryland there are designated lanes called car pool lanes for 2 or more people, in some situations these lanes are great when traffic is slow. I play a lot of sports and to ride a bike or run to certain locations would not be out of the question but simply a good exercise. Another form of reducing air pollution would be to shop or bank on the internet because this would eliminate the use of a car but the computer would still produce small quantities of pollution into the air. The pollution produced by the computer is on a much smaller scale than the pollution caused by the fumes of a car.
             On the other hand there are some solutions that I will not partake in because they are simply not realistic for me in my life. Some of these include: 1) I probably will not buy an electric car for one because it is not cost effective and I can cut back on car fumes that cause air pollution by simply not driving. As easy as it sounds it is very true; 2) I will not work towards the effort of halting all production of ozone because that is not realistic for me. I know that ozone that we generate through cars, etc. are major contributors to the reduction in our lungs. Supplying information that might lead to the change of vehicles that produce less ozone would be more in my league because I have some knowledge in the automotive industry.
             Ozone Depletion:.
             Ozone is a special form of oxygen that, in the stratosphere, protects everyone from harmful radiation given off by sun.
