The Nanny Tales

I felt as if I were applying for a job with the secret service protecting the President of the United States. Of course not, I was twenty years old looking for a part time job that would suffice with my college class schedule. With the results of all of the checks performed, being acceptable to Mr. and Mrs. Smith, I was hired as their family nanny. I was provided with a $50,000 SUV to court the kids around town, a credit card for any needed expenses, health/dental/life policies, and a pay of $12.00/hour (including while on many luxury vacation's with the Smith's). Oh yeah, the primary source of my employment, two young, innocent boys at the ages of five and seven.
I had the best job a college student could ask for. I did not work nights and I was able to schedule my classes around the kids' school schedule. All of my friends were jealous of my job and my parents envied me because of my health/dental/life policies. The first couple of months on the job went by very rapidly, because there was a lot of adjusting to do, or shall I say a lot of learning how to program myself as the Smith family robot! .
7:02a.m., I am stuck behind a big yellow bus that makes frequent stops at least every 50 yards. My cell phone is ringing vigorously, and at the same time horns are starting to point out at the top of it, because on the other end is the frantic, bitchy, impatient Mrs. Smith. I am scheduled to arrive at the Smith residence every morning, Monday through Friday, at exactly 7:00a.m. to assist the kids in what I thought was parental duties. It is now 7:05a.m. as I walk through the front door ( which is probably worth more than my car), "I can't believe your late I had to start dressing the kids all by myself, now I will be pushed behind for my meetings this morning!- All I am programmed to say is, "Sorry Mrs. Smith, I promise it won't happen again."" and go on about completing my morning duties.
