Van Wilder Review

If you are looking for a movie that will make you laugh, cry, and possibly vomit because of some of the crude, sick humor displayed in the movie, then National Lampoon's Van Wilder is a movie for you. For the movie Van Wilder, critics are split for the most part just about in half on whether they like the movie or not. A lot of the critics say it isn't a matter of not liking the humor it is just he fact of the way they go about it. Most critics did agree that there was a lack of originality, disgusting display of crude humor, many good times, life-long friendships, and leaves a lasting impression of what college life is all about. .
An unannounced critic posted his impression of the movie on the net and rated the movie a ½ point out of 5 possible. He commented that "I should think it serves more as a litmus test as to whether or not you want to invest time and money in viewing this film. He also commented that "I never watched the deleted scenes, for I felt that I had already watched 90+ minutes of scenes I would have left out in the first place. Kallenbach said that she loved the scene that most found disturbing. You know, the one where the dog is jacked off into some pastries. She said she never would have thought she could laugh at a display of humor that disgusting but she did. Hamman also showed that he enjoyed this movie. "A movie needs to be consistently funny and that is exactly what Van Wilder brings to the table."" Hamman also commented that, "This movie is a mix of the college party kid and Yoda from StarWars.
Critics agree that Van Wilder does tend to lack a bit of its own originality. Basically what the critics are saying is that this movie is just a branch off of the hit movie Animal House. A lot of the characters in the movie can pretty much be considered just like a lot of other movies. Van Wilder is the stories main character and he has been in Coolidge College for seven years now.
