How to Make Banana Pudding


             Every Thanksgiving my family makes a delicious banana pudding for dessert. For you to make the banana pudding you need the right equipment and ingredients. You will need a double boiler, with the water in the lower pot. Before you can start combining the ingredients; you need to separate two eggs with the yolks in one bowl, and the whites in an another bowl. Also don't forget to get some scalding milk. You will need some dry ingredients to thicken the pudding; flour, sugar, and salt. The most important ingredients are the ripe yellow bananas and vanilla wafers. To start you can mix 2 tbs. of flour, a ½ cup of sugar and ¼ tsp. of salt in the top of double boiler. You should now turn the stove on to medium high to get the double boiler boiling. Then you will add the scalding milk to the mixture; stirring constantly until it thickens. While that thickens you should beat the two egg yolks. Once the mixture thickens you should add a little of the mixture to the egg yolks and stir it together. After that you can put the egg mixture back into the double boiler with the rest of the mixture. Next you cook the pudding for another two minutes. After that you can remove it for the heat, and stir in a ½ tsp. of vanilla. Next you let the pudding cool until just warm. Then you alternate layers of vanilla wafers, sliced bananas and pudding into a baking dish. While you do that you should preheat the oven to 400f. Then you should beat the two egg whites until it turns into meringue; add ¼ cup sugar and pile lightly on top of the pudding. Finally, bake the entire dessert for about eight minutes or until it's a golden brown. After all the preparation and cooking you can now enjoy a delicious banana pudding.
