Next they need to remove the oil filter and replace it with a new one. The new filter must be filled with oil and then the rubber O-ring must be greased with a little bit of oil. When they have finished this task they can now install the new one. After this is all done they can now put new oil in using the funnel to keep it clean. Most cars will take around four-five quarts of oil. When they put about three-four quarts they need to check the dipstick to see if they need more oil or to stop putting more in. When all this is done they must either recycle their oil or take it to a professional to take care of. The reason they have to do this is because it is illegal to throw oil away in regular trash. (Welcome).
Other types of oil to check are the differential gear oil. The gear oil is located in the rear differential between the two back wheels in a pumpkin looking case. Located on the back of the differential is a bold that is facing the rear of the car. When this bolt is removed gear oil should dribble out of it. If no oil dribbles out they may need to add more. To do this they need to pump it in since it us impossible to simply pour it into the hole. After it starts to dribble out then it is full.
The next part is to check the transmission fluid. To check this they must first warm their car up and leave it running. While it is running they need to pull the red or ATF dipstick all the way out and see whether or not it needs more or not. If it requires more fluid they need to pour it directly into where the dipstick comes out. Only add little portions at a time and check constantly because if to much fluid is applied it could result in the engine running bad.(Samarin).
Another fluid to check is the power steering fluid. Located near the belts is a power steering pump. The screw on the lid will say power steering fluid. Normally there will be a dipstick attached to the lid that will allow you to check the fluid level.
