" (pg. 405) Due to Frankenstien's mind state he convinces himself that keeping his creation a secret would be the best option even though his family appears loving and understanding. "but I could not tear my thoughts from my employment, loathsome in itself, but which had taken an irresistible hold of my imagination. I wished, as it were, to procrastinate all that related to my feelings of affection until the great object, which swallowed up every habit of my nature, should be completed." (pg.75) Even after Victor finds out that his monster has murdered his younger brother he still is unable to allow himself to share what he experienced. "I well knew that if any other had communicated such a relation to me, I should have looked upon it as the ravings of insanity. Besides, the strange nature of the animal would elude all pursuit, even if I were so far credited as to persuade my relatives to commence it. And then of what use would be pursuit? Who could arrest a creature capable of scaling the overhanging sides of Mont SalĂȘve? These reflections determined me, and I resolved to remain silent." (pg. 121) In result of not telling anyone his secret Victor loses the lives of almost everyone near to him. But even after he begins to lose family to the monster he still chooses to stay quiet and not let his family shrieve his actions. .
             Victor never stops trying to push down the thoughts and realities of his discoveries. He not only tries to keep his creation a secret from his family but he never stops running from it himself. When Victor sees what he has created, he is immediately repulsed by the monster and hides. ".now that I had finished, the beauty of the dream vanished, and breathless horror and disgust filled my heart.
