The last big reason is that you may ruin your future and have regrets that you can't take back. If you give yourself to someone outside of marriage then you have in reality slept around with someone else's wife or husband. By waiting you protect the other person from getting hurt and if your relationship leads to marriage you are able to express so much more on your wedding night. A person has so much more to look forward too if they have never gave himself or herself away to anyone else. Waiting makes it all more meaningful and passionate just like sex was meant to be. .
On average today 50 % of women ages 15 to 19 and 55 % of males have admitted to having intercourse. I know that it feels like everyone out there is having sex but it is not true. I don't see how people can say that sex brings two people together and lets them show how much they love each other when the next month they break up or one gets pregnant and they never get married. It is not true love when that happens and someone always gets hurt. Putting sex into a relationship is very risky. When a person thinks that they have to have sex to show they love someone it isn't love it is called lust. Who wants someone to lust over them and not love them? A person may think it is ok because they don't think they will regret it in the future or because the feeling is so great but that doesn't make it right. First of all the feeling is not there very long and if you wait until marriage you will have so much anxiety that I"m sure it will be so much better than one can imagine. As to not regretting it in the future, well no one can see his or her future so why risk something so precious.
