They typically take up to 10 to 14 days for the signs and symptoms to become active (Measles, para 1). Some of the symptoms include fever, dry cough, sore throat, conjunctivitis, etc. The cycle of the symptoms goes through stages of those 10 to 14 days after contracting the virus. After the 10 to 14 days, the rash begins to appear and starts to break out on the face first then gradually make it was down the arms and body until the body is covered in the rash. After that happens the virus is condemned to spread for about eight days. With the contraction of measles, this can also lead to some complications of the body.
Complications. When a person contracts the measles, in addition to getting the rashes they can also have some complications that can further hinder the body. The most common complication is an ear infection (Measles: Complications, para 1). Sometimes the ear infection can become so bad that the infected person can risk having permanent hearing loss. The infected person can also get Bronchitis and laryngitis. .
The measles can cause inflammation in the voice box or the main inner walls of air passageways (Measles: Complications, para 2). You can also contract pneumonia. This is also a common complication when it comes to measles because people with measles contract compromised immune systems and with that they can develop a dose of pneumonia that can become fetal. The last major complication is a rare one and it is called Encephalitis. This occurs in 1 out of 1000 people (Measles: Complication, para 4). This occurs when there is inflammation in the brain causing vomits, convulsions, even death. After all of the symptoms and complications happen it is now time for the treatment to get the infected person better. .

Measles typically disappear on thier own within two to three weeks of the contact but the doctors may advice that you take some specific steps.
