Event Design and Production Assessment

Hurtig (1998) concluded that the best way to theme an experience is to write a story which audiences must take part in. To coincide with the theme, organisers design 10 diverse adventure scenes which include Jurassic Park, League and Legends, Underwater World, Primeval Forest and Illusory Louvre etc(Figure.3). The exploring theme is carried throughout these scenes presenting an illusive atmosphere where audiences could be totally immersed in this event, imagining they are trekking in the forest, diving underwater. .
             Event Setting.
             Layout.
Several studies indicated that customers are more interested in obtaining social benefits in leisure situations and social interactions among event audiences are a crucial part of the event experience and the degree of satisfaction for the visitor taking part in and enjoying an event (Levy, 2010; Miao et al., 2011; Nordvall et al., 2014). According to Morgan (2008), meeting places for visitors to socialise are required in event design. In order to this, appropriate personal space should be produced for the consumers to be able to interact with friends and family as well as meet new people (Nelson, 2009). There is a recreation area which offers balloon dolls for children to play and are low sound level environment with cosy seats that parents could chat while children are playing. The setting design was adapted to the Nordvall et al. (2014) framework for the process of designing events for social interaction(Figure.1), which satisfied attendees' needs of social, motivated and engaged them in events.
Atmospherics: Music, Aroma, Lighting, and Sound.
Several studies have discovered that event conditions including background characters of the atmospherics such as temperature, lighting, music and scent can influence the five senses (Jacob, 2006; Matilla&Wirtz;, 2001; Ward, Davies&Kooijman;, 2003; Anderson, 1989). Pine and Gilmore (1999) suggested that the experience which is with sensory stimulation need to match and improve its theme.
