Today in the world, we have so much pharmaceutical drugs.
that we can probably cure the whole Earth from disease. Or can we? According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the global pharmaceuticals market is worth $300 Billion a year and is expected to rise to an astonishing $400 billion a year. North America alone making up 30% of the total (World Health Organization). Those are skyrocketing numbers, but that is not the end of it. Every year, the American Medical Association states that more than 32,000 Americans die from Prescription Drug overdose. So approximately every 18 years, we lose as much people as we lost soldiers in every recorded American war combined. Then there are illegal medicinally and recreationally used drugs, for example, Marijuana, LSD,and Ayahuasca. All that are frowned upon by the majority of the public because they are classified as dangerous. The American Medical Association states that more people die from ingesting Xanax than all the illegal drugs listed combined. Therefore, the illegal drugs listed should not be illegalized because they cause less deaths annually and can be used medicinally.

They also did brain studies and concluded that Prozac, LSD, and Psilocybin travel through similar neural pathways to give the same effects. Except, Psilocybin and LSD don't induce thoughts of suicide over a long-term use. Marijuana, which according to Dr.
