The archetypal character of Paul is a "wise fool" which he is being told those communication lines were down and urge to drink the pain reliever but he notices that something is wrong and starts to wonder what is it. From a wisefool turns it into his persona to be a fool in order to fool his fooler that leads him to gather his pain relievers and use it a poison to Annie.
Next is Annie, The temptress which has a lot evil nerves going thru her demonic brain that actually hides her shadow to her innocent looks with a gold cross necklace. She rescued Paul Sheldon from the accident but she has a wicked plan to the writer. The name Annie originated from the name anna which means prayer but seems to be affect only her looks but not her real deep self. Anna is also a name in Bible which her husband died and submit herself to serve the temple of God. Annie life seems to sounds like same to the Anna in the bible which her husband is not present and submits herself Paul Sheldon. Annie in the film suggest that her favorite animal is a pig which kinda reflects to herself. There is a norms that says "tell me who are your friends are and I am gonna tell who you are". Pig are close enough to a boar which gives a connotation of ferocious, violent, death, sloth ,gluttony ,evil ,dirt and vulgarity. Boars are pigs that has tusk and charges enemies ,mostly of pigs are filthy and their is also a story in the bible which boars are associated with evil. Boar is also the sidekick or the associate of the God of fertility, Frye which usually boars in fertility festival where offer to him as a thanksgiving which again signifies death.
However the distinction of symbols in movie were muchly employed. First, the car of Paul which is mustang and being used in snow storm. Mustang is a wild horse, speaking of wild it connects to being careless which in Paul's state he uses it in a storm which it really pinpoint an accident will happen.
