There are many different types of love, but being in love with a significant other makes a person more beautiful and pleasant every day. Falling in love with someone is different for a lot of people. In past relationships I've had, I truly thought I was in love. Letting guys walk all over me, as if I was their rag doll. They manipulated me to where I thought I was in love. The day my daughter's father left me was the day I realized it was never true love. When finding true love, one should be able to identify the three main characteristics: trustworthy, affectionate, and communication skills. .
Being trustworthy is being able to be honest or truthful. Being with someone who was never honest or truthful, made it harder for me to let another person into my life. I had a huge guard up. I knew that if I wanted to meet the love of my life, I would need to take my guard down. Not everyone in life will lie behind your back nor tell stories to make themselves look better. Being able to trust someone is not having the urge to look through their personal belongings, or worry about what they are doing when you are not around. A relationship without trust is like having a phone with no service. What do you do with a phone with no service? You play games.
Affectionate is not just being intimate with someone, but also the feelings that you have towards that person. It's the emotional support that they give you too. Telling you that you're beautiful, even when you don't feel like you are. Displaying physical affection towards your partner shows them that you really do care about them. Being intimate with someone could be frightening at first, but being vulnerable with your true love will make your relationship stronger. It is common for people to take their relationships for granted. That is why it's so important to nurture the little connections that we have with each other every day. Love is practice. Just like connecting with someone takes practice.
