             Academic dishonesty becomes a conscious decision and a normative behaviour. This suggests that the moral levels of students are declining. An unethical student could become an unethical leader, doctor or teacher.              Developing moral behaviour in students is more important than grades, the cheating culture created students who are unable to identify their moral values so they are affected by their peers' malpractice. In today's universities, grades are going up and student's self-estimation is going down. More and more, the reputation of the academic institutions is at risk.
             David Collaham, a senior fellow at Demos sheds light on the most serious consequences on the future of universities. He reveals that cheating in exams is becoming part of the cheating culture. He attests the undeniable fact that higher education is no more developing ethically aware graduates. However, this academic misconduct will be carried to all the aspects of life and will damage the academic standards and the universities' reputation.
             Surveys conducted by McCain prove that students «cheat to survive». According to this view, we can say that the moral framework in the academic environment is on the bottom. It seems that success and ethics can no more co-exist. There is only an illusion of success that threatens the codes of education and honest research. Major universities and high institutions like the university of Toronto, Army medical department, Harvard business school are not excluded from the list of cheating scandals. These highly expensive environments can no more provide graduates with high level of integrity and education. We can also notice that dishonesty is becoming epidemic in the academic area. Even teachers may steel their students 'researches, give "A" grades for sex or money.
