Initially, the juvenile justice system began as a process with intentions of helping young adolescents. The primary focus of the juvenile justice system was to rehabilitate young adolescents and help them to grow as individuals to straighten out their life. This recurring process seems to have abandoned the system's original intention and fails to take into account the background of the juvenile as well. Failing to take into account all factors can be seen as a failure of the juvenile justice system, negatively portraying the system and all affiliates as a collective who wishes to do no more than convict our country's troubled youth instead of trying to help. .
