Living in Oblivion

We then witness Dameon and Nicole in bed together waking up to go to work as well. Then it cuts to Nick in a cab remembering his dream which raises feelings of doubt when it comes to his movie making ability. The actor playing the part of Dameon, while riding with Nick in the cab, reassures him that he is a good director and everything will work out for the best. They wait for Nicole outside of her house but she never comes out. Dameon, knowing the truth of her whereabouts, lies to Nick and says she may have taken another cab already. This is to keep Nick in the dark about their relationship / one-night-stand. Up to this point, the film is in color but when the time comes for that days shooting the movie is now in black and white. This is the complete opposite of what we saw before. Now, black and white symbolizes what is not reality. We begin to see more problems this time around like Dameon trying to make changes to how the scene was planned to be shot and how he never seems to be satisfied. This frustrates the crew and sets them a little behind schedule. They take a break to settle things down and Dameon and the director talk away from the rest of the crew. Dameon tells Nick how he cannot act any further with the actress and goes on to say how he thinks she is a terrible actress. The actress is unknowingly monitoring their conversation since they did not notice that the microphones were still on and she flies into a rage letting them both know how she feels. This results in Dameon quitting and a fight between Nick and Dameon starts. They then call it quits and Nick and Nicole take a cab home. On the way Nick tells Nicole how he feels about her and they kiss. Right after this, Nicole wakes up and this all winds up to be another dream.
The final portion of the movie starts with Nicole on set dressed in a wedding gown. They are about to start shooting the dream sequence for the actual movie but have to wait as the crew tries to figure out the smoke machine.
