             But friends, there is no fruit which is not bitter before it is ripe. Actually ripeness depends upon the hard labor put in. For a farmer it is the work he does to grow healthy crops, for a student it is the time and efforts he puts to get good results and for a sportsperson it is the time he spends and the energy he uses to do his daily practice but unfortunately hard work is bitter to most people. They try to purchase success at a low price and by using shortcuts. This is not possible. To achieve success we should convert each step into a goal and each goal into a step. This will lead us to excellence in every field. The road to success is not to be run upon wearing seven leagued boots. Little by little, step by step, bit by bit. That is the true way to fame, wisdom, wealth and in short to all that we want in our lives but this path has bitterness, obstacles, failures and frustrations for us, which we must face, or else the results wont be sweet. Sweet results imply fulfillment, fame, wealth and happiness.
             When our freedom fighters struggled for the Indian independence, they sacrificed their comforts, luxurious lifestyles and even honors from the British. They chose the bitter path of humiliation, imprisonment and hardships. This struggle had many obstacles and seemed extremely perilous but they did not lose hope. They went on and finally overcame this darkness by their unity, strong determination and most important - patience. According to an old adage patience is bitter but its fruit is sweet. Along with having patience we must do hard work too. A man's best friends are his ten fingers. The fruit derived from labor is the sweetest of all. Man must work. That is certain as the sun but work has to be done with interest and for the love of it. A wise man said, "Man can work grudgingly or he may work gratefully. He may work as a man or he may work as a machine. There is no work so mean that he may not exalt it, no work so impassive that he may not breathe a soul into it, no work so dull that he may not enliven it.
