Before twitter had the "Compose a new tweet." on their homepage when you wanted to post a tweet there used to be a question that appeared that asked you, "What are you doing?" This is a similar method like Facebook made by social networks to aid people to use their words to reflect themselves. Not only do social networks give people a moment to reflect upon themselves but also to communicate with other people hence the social part. Each social media has a messaging system where people can hold private conversations with any of their friends. It is like emailing but faster and you don't have to wait as long for a response.
Another method people who like technology to prevent human interaction is blogging. Blogging is where someone talks about a general topic and elaborates on it while other people who have similar values add on to it and discuss the meaning of the topic. Tumblr is one of the most famous blogging websites. On regular social media websites you are most likely going to be judged if you write a long post. A blog allows a person to go beyond what they want to say on regular social media. When it comes to blogging, the limit does not exist.
It sounds like being able to communicate over technology is perfect without any complications or problems but of course everything has a downside. Although there are people in the world who might have similar ideas as you there are going to be people out there who are against you. Cyberbullying is a big deal and since it is hard to track everybody's conversations and disputes it really cannot be stopped. This can make it hard for people to even speak their minds online. Yehuda Berg once said, "Words are singularly the most powerful force available to humanity. We can choose to use this force constructively with words of encouragement, or destructively using words of despair. Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble.
