Secondly, Putin's knew that Ukraine shared territorial identity with Russia making it an easy target. For many decades, Crimea has been part of Russian Federation until 1954. The cultural relationship between Russia and Crimea were stronger. The emotional relationship between Russia and Crimea affected how people perceive foreign policy. This ideology of emotional attachment helped Putin to justify his action to annex Crimea. Putin realized that they would lose their port city home of the black sea fleet when Ukraine joins NATO and European Union. The fear of losing such as strategic port that is used to deter NATO and the US led Putin to take over Crimea. According to constructivist model, cooperation differs depending on how state views each other. Russia view US and NATO as it strategic enemy to its sphere of influence.

             The Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT) is the cornerstone of the global security environment. This year marks the 45 anniversary of the Treaty that regulates nuclear weapon in the world (Kristensen and Norris, 2014). The treaty retains international support from major world powers to ensure there is international security. However, they are four countries with nuclear weapon outside its ambit which makes it difficult to enforce the treaty.
