HIV Positive Negative Discrimination.
Throughout the history of the United States of America many people have been faced with negative discrimination on the basis of distinctions such as race, disabilities, beliefs, and gender. Even though some discrimination has stopped many people are continued to face it everyday of their life. Discrimination against someone can take a negative toll on them because most of the time what they are being victimized for or discriminated against they cannot help. Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD's) or it's more formal name Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI's) which has been on the rise in America for a long time and is continuing to increase more and more as time go by. However these diseases/infections had a different name before it was known by STD's or STI's it was also known by Venereal diseases. Whether it is deliberate or not, the fact is that discrimination on the basis of a person's HIV status is not acceptable by law and is a direct violation of human rights. .
STD's are caused by infections that are passed from person to another through sexual contact or sexual intercourse. Examples of theses diseases or infections are Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome, Human Immunodeficiency Virus, Herpes Simplex Virus, Chlamydia, Genital Warts, Hepatitis B, Human Papillomavirus, Public Lice, Syphilis, and Trichomoniasis just to name the most common ones but there are more. If an individual contracts one or more of these infections then they are putting themselves and others at a high risk of facing death. Even though people can die from these infections there are some that people can cure or take special treatment for to lower the effect that it will have on the body or on a person's life. .
Discrimination Knows No Race.
STD discrimination does not just have a specific race in which of color or religion or culture or anything else that people are normally discriminated against, so with that being said STDs can affect any and every body no matter what.
