Short Story - Finding Utopia

There I was, lying in bed, surrounded by darkness. I start to feel weightless, like I was floating. I sense something is different but I can't see anything, everything is dark. I can feel myself getting out of the bed and walking to what I think is my bedroom door. I open it and nothing is how I remember it. I'm not inside my house, instead I'm standing in direct sunlight. My world had changed completely. First of all, I look around and every house is the exact same, not one tiny detail is different. I start to walk down the street and I notice that my neighborhood became a more diverse. There isn't just white people. There was African Americans, Asians, and other races. I was amazed at what I was seeing. No one was fighting or judging one another. No crime was happening. The neighborhood was clean. Just about everything was different than when I first fell asleep. .
I felt like I was dreaming. I kept trying to wake myself up. Everything was so different; my friends, my school, my life. It wasn't as perfect as people imagine a "Perfect" society to be. The definition of a Utopia is, "an imagined place or state of things in which everything is perfect." In reality nothing is perfect, and reality was where I was before I woke up in this "Utopia". I realized that I enjoy the life I'm living and the people in it. There's no need in being perfect.
