             Christianity can fulfill their role as an "artisan of peace"(Pope Frances) by working towards world peace by reducing poverty and promoting justice and human rights. Christian denominations are examples of the contribution to the achievement of world peace based on Christian's principal teachings. The National Council of Churches in Australia launched an 'Act for Peace Campaign' that aims to reduce poverty, protect refugees and empower communities. This organization works toward "uniting and not dividing"(Pope Frances) as NCCA brings together churches and Christian communities to unify their relationship with God and fulfill their common mission of humanity working for peace. The World Conference of Religious and Peace is another organization that offers initiatives for Christian churches involvement in stopping war, ending poverty and active stewardship. It is based on moral principal teachings of uniting religions to end war and create the conditions for lasting peace. Therefore, this active role in world peace initiatives contributes to the achievement of world peace by promoting the equality and dignity of all human beings.
             Islam is a religion of peace that is based from teachings and writings advocating how adherents can contribute to the achievement of world peace. These principal teachings are evident in the sacred texts, the Qur'an and the Hadith, which state that peace is one of the most significant aspects of Islamic faith. This centrality of peace is seen in the first verse of the Qur'an, "In the name of Allah, The Most Merciful, the Most compassionate", which is an important element of the Muslim understanding of peace, as Allah's name "Al Salaam" means peace.
