If variants qualified as unstable can be studied and identify their triggers, we can improve our ability to understand and control the urges that lead to a killer. Personality Disorder will consequently give rise to many Psychopaths without much knowledge of the background besides the mutual understanding that there is a connection. On the Contrary, psychologists and researchers have studied the behavior, background, race, and other characteristics, but have led to only more questions to be answered: .

There has not been much discovery in the reason and understanding behind adolescent psychopathy and Personality Disorder. Studies have shown that psychopathy in young individuals is rare, with only 14% in delinquents or predicted children. A limited amount of research has been conducted on psychopathology for the younger age division, but researchers and psychologist have managed to find methods to study the behavior. There is a high concern about developmental appropriateness of examining the behavior that follows the disorder. Psychopathy is a personality disorder characterized by a constellation of interpersonal, affective and behavioral characteristics (Hare, 1998). The correlation between having personality disorder and psychopathy is high, but there have not yet been many longitudinal studies of identifying psychopathy in childhood into adulthood. The characteristics that are diagnosed in psychopaths can, too, be detected in adolescents with the same personality disorder. A few, like Blair and Patrick, have referred their studies to focusing solely on the genetics of psychopathic personality.
